The brief

Driving Green is building Ireland’s first Virtual Power Plant. Homeowners had never heard the term, and the first product, smart charging for Tesla owners, needed a waiting list before launch. The site had to explain the idea in plain language, prove the saving, and capture the lead, all before anyone was ready to be sold to.

What we built

  • A static Next.js site on the Cloudflare edge. Every page loads in under a second on a phone.
  • An Energy Score calculator that runs on live ENTSO-E and EirGrid grid prices. A visitor enters their bill and tariff and sees their own saving before anyone asks for an email.
  • A smart-charging enrolment flow that writes straight into the sales sheet, with device compatibility pages for Tesla and Energy Hub.

SEO and AEO

  • Technical SEO from day one: clean URLs, fast pages, sitemap, canonicals and Organisation schema.
  • Content SEO around the terms Irish homeowners actually type: virtual power plant Ireland, smart charging, dynamic pricing, and each device by name.
  • Answer engine optimisation: every explainer page opens with the plain answer, backed by FAQ schema, so Google’s AI Overview and ChatGPT quote it directly.
